The secretary of the Jackson Purchase Historical Society, Chris Adams, has resigned due to health issues. Chris has also served the society as videographer and in video production. In all of these activities he has served JPHS well. We wish him the best as he recuperates. The Constitution and Bylaws authorize the President of the Society to fill vacancies.  President Bill Mulligan has appointed Bruce Dobyns to serve as secretary. The Jackson Purchase Historical Society has been accepted into the Kroger Community Rewards program. JPHS have been assigned a new NPO (non-profit organization) number GK619. To use the Kroger Community Rewards Program: Members and supporters of the society who wish to help in this way should visit http://www.kroger.com. and log into their Kroger account. Search for “Jackson Purchase Historical Society,” either by name or “GK619” and then click enroll. New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address, and a rewards card, which can be obtained free at any Kroger.
