The next meeting of the JPHS is being planned for Saturday, April 25th in Murray. The officers, though, are monitoring the public health situation and information coming from the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and state governments. The Kentucky Historical Society (KHS) recently recognized the Jackson Purchase Historical Society (JPHS) as the Volunteer Organization of the Year. This award is presented to a group which is managed exclusively by volunteers and has made a substantial contribution to their local history, and one that has been an effective service provider in their community. The JPHS was recognized for their award-winning Journal as well as the wide range of programs offered.
