The “Old Arnett Arnett Tobacco Barn” in Calloway County, Kentucky has been recognized as the state’s newest historic site. The barn is situated off Billy Paschal Road and Tom Taylor Trail just south of Murray. The barn was constructed in the late 1800’s and was used primarily for curing dark fire tobacco. The next step in the process is to petition and apply for a State approved historical marker to be placed alongside the road near the barn. The cost of State historical marker is $2,500 and the family has launched an internal fundraising campaign to attempt to raise the necessary funds.
